本幅乃畫家寫贈克樂夫婦，以其先購山水兩幅，遂寫荷花，酬答賞音。畫中仍取大寫意法，寫素荷兩朵，晶潔如雪，高低佈落，其筆道疾速，如橫風掃掠，捲動墨葉狂舞，動感盈貫，益見筆下精神。

        張大千移家海外，風塵僕僕，常往來各地舉辦展覽，畫藝廣獲欣賞，不少外籍人士因而收藏其作品。本輯四幅，原屬美國私人藏家，一九六三年參觀紐約舉行之張大千畫展，甚喜其作，選購兩幅，與大千結識，締結友誼，遂得畫家寫畫送贈，即編號1252之〈風展素裳〉，上具其款「克樂先生夫人」，後再得其潑彩，組合成輯。
