此對包袱蓋罐制於乾隆年間，器型恢宏，未見他例有錄，疑為傳世孤品。如此包袱裝飾，有見於禦窯廠所制各式器物之上，如瓷器、金屬胎畫琺瑯、掐絲琺瑯、 料器、木作及漆品。雖則五花八門，飾包袱紋者，制量甚少。而如此對蓋罐，妙以粉地代常見之黃地，配以雅致之綠彩包袱，更為獨特，鮮見於同類瓷器。經兩百年滄桑，原蓋尚存，完好無缺，甚爲難得。清初，歐洲傳教士來華引入西洋艷彩，清帝甚是鐘愛，是以命研制新色仿學，謂之洋彩。蓋罐所繪，粉地洋花綻放，所用顏料，正屬此類。
