觚，始於商周，原為飲酒之器。明清之際，發展成為佛前五供之壹。乾隆時期，摹古之風流行，掐絲琺瑯的製作有了新的發展，器型更為豐富多彩。此件銅胎畫琺瑯花觚乃宮廷巧匠迎合乾隆品位所作摹古精品。銅胎掐絲琺瑯，又名“景泰藍”，景泰藍以紫銅作坯，製成各種造型，再用金線或銅絲掐成各種花，中充琺瑯釉，經燒制、磨光、鍍金等工序製成。這種工藝創始於明代景泰年間，製作精美，色彩艷麗，金碧輝煌，至清代的景泰藍工藝更加成熟，尤以乾隆時期製作最為華美。

        Gu, originating from  Shang and Zhou, is originally a drinking vessel. During the Ming and qing dynasties, it developed into one of the first five offerings of Buddha. During the qianlong period, the style of imitation was popular, and the production of cord-silk enamel had a new development, with more colorful patterns. This pair of copper tire enamel vase is a copy of ancient quality made by court craftsman to cater to the taste of qianlong. Copper wire inlay enamel, also known as "cloisonne, cloisonne with copper billet, made all sorts of modelling, with a gold wire or copper wire device into a variety of flowers, the imitation enamel glaze, made by fire, polished, gold-plated and so on. This kind of craft was founded in the period of jingtai in the Ming dynasty. It was beautifully made, brightly colored and resplendent.
