本幅以江畔雪竹入图，时正画家专注于探究元人画法，若对照清宫旧藏之郭畀〈雪竹图卷〉，可知乃参酌该本而写成。原卷尺幅略长，末段见琅玕密聚成丛，李氏简略之，仅取前段，以江天暮雪，状细竹不禁罡风而弯折之貌，极得冷峻疏寡之致。
