The phunpa urn, painted with powder enamel and decorated with eight treasures, was first burned in the late qianlong dynasty. It is a kind of buddhist ritual vessel modeled on Tibetan metal ware and used in the royal lamasery or as a gift to Tibetan monks. In the qing dynasty, the imperial kilns in jingdezhen produced a large number of porcelain buddhist utensils, such as the seven treasures, eight treasures, and the Ben ba teapots. Besides being used as buddhist tools in palaces, they were also used by the imperial court to endow buddhist monasteries in Tibet. During the qianlong and jiaqing periods, the phunpa POTS were also presented by the emperors to the inland temples. According to the literature, the Ben - ba kettle was a rare thing when the qianlong emperor sacrificed to dai temple in mount tai.
